Throwback Thursday - Vulcan Road North

FirstEC (F105 AVG) / (H102 KVX)The following is a post written by Kieran before his decision to leave the blog.

This week we remember Vulcan Road North compound, the graveyard of First Eastern Counties buses awaiting disposal.

The site lied just around the corner from the Vulcan Road depot and is now occupied by a building supplies firm. A perfect example of what was found there is shown to the right from Colin Humphrey.

On the left is Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian 34825 F105AVG and on the right similar former Thamesway Leyland Olympian, H102KVX. We can also just see a withdrawn Plaxton Premiere creeping in on the far right and an Alexander Strider on the far right.

About Kieran Smith

Norwich Buses Blog was founded in December 2013 by Sam Larke after he left another popular blog, Norwich Bus Page. Since it's launch, the site has grown dramatically, especially whilst written solely by Kieran Smith during 2015. The blog is now in it's third year and we look forward to more success and growth in the future.
