The following is a post written by Kieran Smith before he left the blog.

In this new series we take a look at some of the long forgotten routes operated in the area over the past sixteen years. We begin with First's 50.

Run out of the Norwich depot, the 50 operated between Norwich and Sheringham via Aylsham and Cromer. The route derived from former Eastern Counties services and was competed with by Sanders 4, 44 and X44.

The final day of serve was Saturday 25th September 2010, at which point the regular vehicles were Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents and Wright Floline bodied Scania L94UBs.

About Kieran Smith

Norwich Buses Blog was founded in December 2013 by Sam Larke after he left another popular blog, Norwich Bus Page. Since it's launch, the site has grown dramatically, especially whilst written solely by Kieran Smith during 2015. The blog is now in it's third year and we look forward to more success and growth in the future. If you think you'd make a good writer for Norwich Buses Blog, please do get in touch via email:
