Oddball Wednesday - Farebus Califa

The unique tri-axle Farebus Califa in Great Britain (Paul Barney)
The following is a post written several months ago but previously never published.

Today for Oddball Wednesday we focus on a trio of Spanish built rarities residing on Great British shores currently.

In 2010, Irish operator Kavanagh imported a trio of Farebus Califa bodied MAN 24.440 coaches for their operation. These were the only examples ever built for Britain and the only works from Farebus which can be found in our nation. These later passed to Kavanagh's English arm Landtourer who still operate the unusual coaches today.

Rarer among the trio is HY10KYB, photographed to the right by Paul Barney, which was the only tri-axle example among them.
