Anglianbus 85 and 86 re-tendered to Simonds

It has been spoken of from VOSA updates since December of the big changes coming to Anglianbus 85 and 86 from February.

Details have been released on the Anglianbus website today of the changes, which will see the Norfolk County Council contract taken on by Simonds on a six months basis from February 22nd to the end of August 2016.

Options for running the service from September are currently in discussion phases due to the very little numbers using them.

There will be minor changes when Simonds take on the services. On the 85 from Loddon and Surlingham, the first journey of the morning will extend to City College on Ipswich Road. On the 86 from Haddiscoe the first journey of the morning will operate around five minutes earlier than at present. A limited Saturday service will run on the 86 despite the current low numbers.
