Norwich Buses Blog Advent Calendar - Day 12

Twelve days in and for Day Twelve we head to a much changed Castle Meadow in September 2001 with this shot from Mark Bowerbank.

Seen in the old white, light blue and orange Sanders Services livery is M806RCP on a working of the 36 for Stalham.

M806RCP, a Hungarian built Ikarus Citibus bodied DAF SB220, had been new in August 1994 to Hallmark of Luton and later passed to Sanders - who appeared to round up a large majority of the type delivered in Great Britian. These buses survived with Sanders up until around 2012 when newer buses replaced them.

About Kieran Smith

Norwich Buses Blog was founded in December 2013 by Sam Larke after he left another popular blog, Norwich Bus Page. Since it's launch, the site has grown dramatically, especially whilst written solely by Kieran Smith during 2015. The blog is now in it's third year and we look forward to more success and growth in the future. If you think you'd make a good writer for Norwich Buses Blog, please do get in touch via email:
