Odds and Ends - 21/11/2015

43861 and 43863 are both reportedly displaced from service
This week's Odds and Ends is on the larger side, with lots of little fleet update pieces to include and a few rare happenings.

Newly acquired for National Express work at Chenery Travel is Caetano Levante bodied Volvo B9R FJ61EXU. It previously operated with YourBus of Heanor. Meanwhile at Simonds, new is Mercedes Benz Tourismo tri-axle BF65HVP. At Norfolk Coachways, currently on loan is VanHool T8 Alizee bodied Scania K113CRB G39HKY.

As mentioned in a previous report, First Norwich took delivery of Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7Ls 60915 YG02DLZ and 60916 YG02DKU on Friday. They are due to enter service mid-week, at which point the Alexander Dennis Enviro200s left at Norwich should move back to First Lowestoft. The 10.8 metre Wright Streetlites will move onto the 39 in their place. Already moved off of the 39 are Caetano Slimbus bodied Dennis Darts 43861 EG52FGJ and 43863 EG52FFK, which Dan High reported are at Roundtree Way depot.

At Sanders Coaches, the trio of Optare Olympus bodied Scania N230UD acquired from Johnsons of Henley-in-Arden have received fleetnames on top of their existing livery. They have also gaine their vehicle names in red type above the destination screens. Wright Cadet bodied DAF SB120 214 X823NWX has been withdrawn and is currently being used as a source of spares.

At Eastons, Sitcar Voyager bodied Iveco 70C17 Daily YD65DFM (See here) has returned back off loan to the Moseley Dealership.

There have been a handful of rare workings to report this week, thanks to all who have been in touch. On Friday, First Norwich Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 33060 LN51GJU made a very rare appearance on the single-deck worked Purple Line 38. Also on Friday, First Great Yarmouth Wright Streetlite 47503 SN64CPX was used on Rail Replacement services between Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

  3. 3 of the Caetano MPDs are due to be collected by First South West and driven back to Cornwall this week. They are also delivering a 56 plate ADL Dart, and taking back in exchange the longer Caetano Dart. The remainder of the Caetano MPDs are due to head West before the end of the year.
