Throwback Thursday - Peoplemovers

Peoplemovers EOS 90 E3DEX at Fir Covert Road (Sam Larke)
Though just two years gone, Peoplemovers seems like a far distant memory to most enthusiasts.

The operator, who were latterly based on Fir Covert Road between Taverham and Felthorpe, ceased trading in June 2013 following what were described as "serious infringements" of their operating licences.

A report from the Eastern Daily Press told how a VOSA enforcement van stopped a vehicle near the University of East Anglia to find no operating licence displayed, no MOT and driver who was not certified to carry passengers.

Most of the fleet and the operator's school contracts were purchased by Dolphin Travel of Norwich, who also employed a number of drivers from Peoplemovers.
