Throwback Thursday - First Eastern Counties MPDs

43801 at Kings Lynn Bus Station (Leon Wells)
In 2002, First Eastern Counties' Bury St Edmundsdepot took delivery of a pair of Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart MPDs for use on their now defunct network of town services.

43801 AO02ODM and  43802 AO02ODN were often shifted between King's Lynn and Bury St Edmunds, I believe with a spell or two at Ipswich during their life with First Eastern Counties.

Today the pair are operated by First Essex's Clacton operation, where they have been treated to a repaint into Olympia livery. It must be said, they now do look rather smart; see here for a photograph.
