Konectbus 2 made the regional news on Tuesday evening
As October draws to a close, we look forward to two months of chaos as the Christmas rush builds, buses get busier and Bernard Matthews work becomes much more demanding. First Norwich's new batch of Wright Streetlite are due by the end of November, with all factors permitting of course.

On Tuesday evening, the 'Save The 2' campaign made regional television with a report from ITV East Anglia - watch it online here. Gavin Hunter, Konectbus Managing Director, told ITV: "We would like to thank everyone who has used our service 2 during the last three years. Our aspiration was to introduce a high quality express bus service between the North Norfolk coast and Norwich. Clearly we were aware of the competition on the corridor and so we set out not to repeat what was already provided but to deliver something fresh to grow the market and deliver an excellent product for customers whilst providing sustainable earnings for Konect[...]Before and since the decision to withdraw was made, we have looked at a number of potential options to reduce the service provided and reasonably increase fares whilst maintaining a high quality product for our loyal customers. Unfortunately we have been unable to find a workable solution. I am hoping that despite this decision, few of our customers will be unable to find a suitable alternative travel option."

A second revision has been made on the Anglianbus 80 and 81
Linking to this, Anglianbus customers and stakeholders have expressed their rejection of the cuts to services 80 and 81. As a result, there are a few tweeks and additional runs - though no big changes to the initial revised timetable. Hillside Road East in Bungay will now be served and additional capacity will be provided on journeys for Bungay High School and East Norfolk Sixth Form College.

Following the latest stage of the Postwick Junction works, considerable queues formed in the area on Thursday morning - so much to the point that Norfolk County Council released an apology notice. A revision in traffic flow has resulted some considerable and probably very confusing diversions to Konectbus Park and Ride 503. The diversions will see it operate in three different routings throughout the day and an amended Saturday route. Please see here for full details.

Rare workings this week include Konectbus 611 SN62AVO on the 6A and X6 on Friday 16th October, with First Norwich 33170 LR02LYK on the 25 and 33248 LT52WVA on the 27. Other than this, there has been little unusual happenings.

One of Norwich's smartest visitors this week from Edwards
To sum the week up, Monday saw the introduction of the new series Before and After and the first day of Lynx on the North Norfolk Coast. For this week's Tuesday Time Tunnel we headed back to the early 1990s to Riverside Park and Ride. Wednesday saw the latest Notices and Proceedings Watch with Oddball Wednesday taking a look at the Vehixal Scholabus. Throwback Thursday saw us follow up Tuesday Time Tunnel, which was followed by an interesting loan now at First Norwich. On Friday, a report from some North Norfolk Coasting was published as well as a review of the week's happenings. On Saturday we published the first Bernard Matthews watch.
