Oddball Wednesday - Something a little different

A Marshall...? (John Law)
Oddball Wednesday was a series of posts set up by Norwich Buses Blog to look at rare and rather odd buses, this week's takes a look at something a little different to the usual odd things the series has over time focused on. So I make no apology for this week's Oddball not being a bus; but like me, you may already be shouting "That's a Marshall Capital" at your computer screen.

Being no expert in the dust cart industry, I cannot go into as much depth as usual with this one. However, it certainly is a products of Marshall - and yes, the cab area does share an identical front end and lower dash area to the popular Capital bodywork. The chassis is produced by AWD, a specialist in the production of chassis of the like kind, with the gearbox, engine and axle being shipped in by Marshall. All were pieced together alongside the bus-like front end to form what we see above.

As far as I can see, the final product did not take off. So far, I have managed to identify three - but I am certain very little more than this would have been produced.
