End of a Konectbus era and other updates

A sad ending to the large string of Konectbus Optare Excels
The end of a Konectbus era has dawned upon us with the recent withdrawal of Optare Excel 219 W219PRB.

A much loved vehicle among the staff, as well as the enthusiasts, 219 has received a make shift sign in the windscreen reading "RIP. Your new rest home" and in on the rear "RIP our angel". 219 was the very last remaining Optare Excel to operate for Konectbus, ending a long list of the type operated over time.

In other news, ready for a revised network from Monday 2nd November, three Optare Solos will move to Rackheath depot for use on the 50, 50A and 51; these are being accompanied by three Optare Tempos which will be used on the newly revised 53 (Operating between Wroxham and Queen's Hills). These will eventually be swapped for three of the former 2 and 2A Alexander Dennis Enviro400s once the trees along the Salhouse section of the route a felled.
