Breaking News: Lynx to temporarily operate Coasthopper service

Lynx are to run the Coasthopper service for up to 56 days
Breaking news has just come in this evening of a further twist in the Coasthopper Winter 2016 saga; the traffic commissioner has rejected Stagecoach Norfolk's application to the run the service, meaning Lynx are to temporarily operate the service for at least 56 days, which is the given notification window for applications to VOSA.

To add context, the subsidy to operate a winter service was initially awarded to Lynx following Stagecoach claiming it to be financially impossible to run the service. Following this, Stagecoach made a competitive move to continue operating the service commercially, and subsidy from the council was as a result withdrawn from  Lynx.

Operation of the service from Lynx will commence this coming Monday, with timetables available to view here.

Update: Stagecoach will continue to operate between Hunstanton and Wells, however, no further on the CH3 service.

    1. When Lynx were awarded the winter contract Stagecoach cancelled their registration between Wells and Cromer.
Change of mind from Stagecoach but the registration between Wells and Cromer was not accepted as a short notice registration and therefore cannot operate this section until the 56 days have elapsed.
It would be good if Lynx, to prove they are not just cherry pickers, could register the same service so that with Stagecoach there would a half hour frequency with a hour one on Sunday.
