32202 LT52WTG back at Norwich, photographed today on the 11
Today a few notes of local updates from a day off sixth form catching up on things.

At First Norwich Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs 32200 LT52WTE 32202 LT52WTG have returned off loan from Great Yarmouth, where they were loaned to to cover increased summer vehicle requirements.

Stop maintenance on St Stephens Street this morning lead to just seven stops being available, chaos all round. Meanwhile at the bus station, a passenger requiring medical attention on an X1 at Stand B lead to an ambulance blocking the zebra crossing and part of Stand C. Again, chaos all round there too.

A few rare workings also cropped up today: First Norwich Wright Streetlite 47512 SN64CRZ was allocated to the 39, Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 33060 LN51GJU was on the 27 and Orange Line branded sister 33150 LR02LXJ appeared on a morning run of the Yellow Line 28.

16KEN seen in use on a private hire to Norwich Castle Museum
At Stagecoach Norfolk, Jack Verey posted photographs of two arrivals at the Hamlin Way depot today. Alexander Dennis Trident ALX400s 18348 AE55DKV and 18349 AE55DKX are on loan to the Norfolk operation initially pending a source of replacement vehicles for the Optare Spectra bodied DAF DB250LFs. More information can be found here.

Finally, a photograph of a beast still in daily service in Norwich. VanHool T8 Alizee bodied Scania K113 16KEN is used daily, typically on a school contract to Taverham High School, by Dolphin Autos. Today was my first photo opportunity of it following its appearance on Norwich on a private hire to Norwich Castle Museum for a local school.

  1. On the rare workings front I noted a red line vehicle operating the 17.13 purple 35 this afternoon from Long Stratton. Red line bus was also working the purple 37 to Mulbarton on Tuesday eve. Seems like this red double decker is a purple wannabe ;) perhaps it's keen for the leather seat treatment? I'll look out for it in the coming days.!
