New Park and Ride Day Two and other updates

510 LB02YWX makes up numbers on the 501 earlier today.
Day two of the new Park and Ride operation today, and two unusual happenings on the revised network to report.

Employed on the 501 (Airport-Thickthorn) was Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL 510 LB02YWX. On the same service also was Alexander Dennis Enviro400 was 602 SN10CFF.

Also of note was the temporary use of Optare Tempo 409 YJ57EGY on the 8 following a passenger being taken ill by ambulance on Castle Meadow on one of the native branded Alexander Dennis Enviro400s.

On the First front, recent transfer for Ipswich 66982 KX05MHL appeared in Norwich City Centre this morning in full Ipswich RAF Blue livery with all respective branding. With a driver, rather than a mechanic, at the wheel I am puzzled as to why it made this appearance.

Repaint 600 SN10CFD working the 501 yesterday.
Among the excitement of all the new buses, I forgot to include this one in yesterday's report. Repainted into the new Norwich Park and Ride livery is 600 SN10CFD. Somewhat amazingly 600 looks just as smart of its brand new sisters despite being five and a half years older.

Once 639 SN65OAY is delivered and entered into traffic, the entire Norwich Park and Ride operation should be operated solely by green buses.

Meanwhile, take a look at the new blog header! A right place, right time moment to get the duo of new buses following each other along Rose Lane.
