Reporting this one could not go a miss, as the driver in question is a good friend and regular contributor of Norwich Buses Blog.

Leon Wells, currently a driver and resident enthusiast at Ipswich Buses, won the third place title and the £750 cash prize in this year's Bus Driver of The Year Competition in Blackpool. Leon began a driving career with Harris Bus seventeen years ago, and later went on to drive for First Eastern Counties before settling with Ipswich Buses.

The Bus Driver of the Year competition is held annually, centered on Blackpool seafront and based at the nearby Hilton Hotel. The event sees operators from across the UK enter their top drivers for judging on their capabilities of every day driving skills, including reversing, kerbside stopping and turning.
