66976 repainted and in service

A freshly painted 66976 repainted and in service on the 28 today
A quick update from the city centre comes this afternoon as promised on social media, where a rather shiny looking bus has hit the road!

66976 KX05MGZ entered traffic this morning in Yellow Line livery on relevantly branded service 28. For those after a photo, 66976 will be on the 28 until around 8 o'clock this evening unless it is swapped before the end of the day.

An update from 66982 KX05MHL, which was questioned as to whether it had entered service briefly in full Ipswich livery: it was headed for a garage near Ipswich for an MOT, where it was sighted the same evening.

  1. Either first are colour blind, or they've used the oddest shade of "yellow" for a reason.

It looks like sanders orange - but have they done this so it doesn't look like anglian do you think?

It's a good job the orange line is run by deckers, as what would happen when they are repainted. Orange to first probably looks brown... ;)

    Thoughts please

  2. If they used coloured destination number screens like Lothian and more locally the new P&R E400's then they could all be painted the same and anything could be used on anything. No confusion then. Simples!! Yes it looks orange.
