Odds and Ends - 16/08/2015

607 SN61CZX back and branded for the 2 and 2A, seen yesterday
Another bumper odds and ends this week, which comes with many thanks those who kept me updated during my holiday in Yorkshire.

Konectbus has been the centre of the news this week; all five Alexander Dennis Enviro400s for the Konectexpress 8 are in service, and the full compliment of "new" 2 and 2A buses were pounding the A140 and the Norfolk Coastline as of yesterday.

The move has seen 308 AU11EPF and 309 AU11EPE move back to Anglianbus, 307 AU11ESG is the next due to leave. Thanks to Sam Larke for informing me of this following a visit to Konectbus on Saturday. 308 was on the 60 yesterday, and as many have wanted to know, no it had not had the relevant fleetnames re-applied. Incase you missed it yesterday, the first Norwich Park and Ride Alexander Dennis Enviro400 is confirmed to be SN65OAA. It was noted on its way to Harwich for inspection by the local Alexander Dennis plant - the plan for all off the batch - on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, 617 SN15HKA was used on a private hire for a driver's wedding, resulting in standard Konectbus liveried Enviro400 604 SN10CEX in use on the 8.

In case you haven't been on a First vehicle recently, the new First Eastern Counties magazine is now available on the buses. The first issue features special features looking at First in America and the flagship X1, GoGoDragons competitions and fifteen money saving vouchers. In other publicity news, Sanders Coaches have joined Facebook (See here) and Our Hire have joined both Twitter (See here)

New at Craske Coaches at Catfield, as revealed by East Norfolk Bus Blog, is Yutong TC12 YC15WDJ. For a photograph, see the original report here. Meanwhile at Sanders, the long awaited second Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B9R has been delivered to Holt depot.

The rare working section this week comes entirely from the the wonderful contributors - special thanks to Joe Wilson, Sam Larke and Cameron Robinson. Again, Konectbus take the lead here; following the new 8 buses hitting the road, their predecessors had a few adventures - on Tuesday 11th August, 605 SN61CZV was on service 17. The following day, 609 SN61CZZ was on the 4 and sister 608 SN61CZY on Costessey Park and Ride service 604. On Friday, Konectbus "Yellow Versa" 307 AU11ESG made a very rare appearance on the 8.
