|Sanders 32 is rerouted to serve Cozens Hardy Road|
Yesterday evening I was alerted to a few articles by many readers containing details from Norfolk County Council on how they plan to maintain bus services through areas which First have withdrawn from.
The withdrawal of Pink Line service 11A would have seen no more buses to Cozens Hardy Road and Church Lane in Sprowston. As a result, Sanders have extended their morning and early afternoon circular services 32 to pick up where First have left off. Because of this, the 32 will no longer serve Greenborough Road - which has picked up next-to-none and has alternative services running past the end of the road. Sanders new service 10, as mentioned in a previous report, has replaced First service 12 between Stalham, Catfield, Horning and Wroxham.
The entire withdrawal of the 24 hour service on Blue Line service 25 has been reconsidered following the Union of UEA Students getting 2,000 students to sign a petition and threatening to "boycott" First services. A reduced service has been agreed, with buses operating from the Rail Station back to the University of East Anglia at 23:45, 00:45, 01:45 and 02:45. In the opposite direction, buses will return at 23:15, 00:15, 01:15, 02:15 and 03:15.
In Rackheath and Salhouse, where First services 14 and 14A are now entirely withdrawn from, Norfolk County Council are in talks with Konectbus over a revised service to fill the gaps of the 14 and 14A on their existing service 53 - which mirrored service 14.
