Brand new Konectbus Enviro400s in service and another teaser

Brand new 620 SK15HKD at Riverside (Sam Larke)
This morning I was bombarded with messages telling me that the batch of five brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s at Konectbus had entered service. Unfortunately, my camera lens can't quite reach 200 miles from Yorkshire, but my trusty contributor Sam Larke has provided a choice of excellent photographs of the new buses.

The new buses have appeared on Norwich Buses Blog since they first arrived, so there is not much new to point out. However, to reiterate, the five new buses have free WiFi, USB Charging points, wood-effect flooring and moquette Esteban Civic seating with leather head rests. The move from leather seats is a welcomed one, although most companies seem to be doing quite the opposite, in the manner that the slippery and sticky feelings during hot weather will no longer be around. Seen below is another photo from Sam Larke showing the bright and airy new interiors.

Sam also provides the latest details of the predecessors of the six new buses. 605 was today employed on Dereham Town Service 17, with the rest of the batch being present at the Konectbus depot on Rash's Green Industrial Estate. 606 was, notably, under cover in the workshop midway through having new vinyls applied for the 2 - this involves simply changing route branded from Dereham and Toftwood to Cromer and Sheringham, and replacing the large 8 with a 2. 607 was also parked in the workshop, but did not appear to be having re-branding work carried out.

A big thanks to Sam goes out for his help as always, whilst on a separate note I was in Hull today photographing a UK-first; more on that will come in a special Norwich Buses Blog on Holiday series soon.

    1. Thank you, I am aware of this - however, it is a Dereham service. Town services being the Dereham network, City services being the Norwich network.

  4. Lucky You,In Cardiff where I live, we're getting new Enviro 400s too. Do they still produce the old Enviro 400 bodywork still?
