First Norwich 32203 has been sent away for interior refurbishment
There's been some interesting happenings in Norwich this week and the immediate surrounding areas.

Most exciting of most is that Purple Line Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL 32202 LT52WTJ has been sent back to Rotherham Paint Shop for an interior refurbishment, in which it is to be fitted with e-leather seating. Presumably, other members of the fleet will also see this treatment. The move follows the trials which took place on Turquoise Line 32100 LT02ZCJ. Thanks to my contacts at First for confirming this. The Bernard Matthews operation at Norwich, providing shuttles from Norwich estates to the plant at Great Witchingham, appears to have stepped up. On Monday, at least four vehicles were noted coming through Drayton on their back from Great Witchingham.

It was first reported in the Norwich Buses Blog Facebook reader's group that Sanders Scania Omnilink 313 YN03UVM has been sent for repaint into the Sanders livery at Full Circle. Former Eastons Scania Omnilink 321 YN08HXZ is reported to have returned from repaint in exchange.

Over in Great Yarmouth, heritage liveried Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL 32059 W219XDB arrived back at Caister Road depot on Thursday 9th July. Also notable from the area is Northern Counties Palatine 2 bodied Volvo Olympian 34156 P656UFB - which was donated for use by Gorleston Fire and Rescue Service - has departed for the scrapyard. Thanks to Jamie Skinner for reporting this.

Notable is that Marrett's Chariots have been operating free shuttles between Norwich, Norwich Airport and Salhouse Road to allow GoGoDragon hunters to visit the statues placed outside of the city centre.

Rare workings this week have been thankfully far and few. On Monday, Konectbus Optare Versa 300 MX03UZT appeared on the 50 and 50A, with First Norwich Purple Line 66977 KX05MHA appearing on the Green Line 15. Norse Irisbus Agora Line 7155 OW03FXG made an appearance on a Broadland High School service. On Tuesday, a Red Line double decker appeared on a morning working of the 15 - a particular journey which operates from Wymondham Cross to Broadland Business Park.

One last photo; 32059 under the traditional gloominess of Great
Yarmouth Market Gates bus station.
And to end the week; on Monday we took a look at the Lord Mayors bus operation, brought a fleet update from Stagecoach Norfolk and took a swift look at some happenings in the city centre. Tuesday was a fleet update from Ambassador Travel and Semmence. Wednesday brought out the first of a two part special from London, another interesting Oddball Wednesday and a look at all the forthcoming changes in this fortnight's N&P Watch. On Thursday we revealed news that First are to take on a new service from Swift Taxis and our Throwback Thursday provided an interesting day out for the Lodekkas. Friday saw the usual Around The UK report and the debut of the Great Yarmouth heritage bus. Yesterday, there was news of all the latest changes at the local First operations and the second part of our London Extravaganza went live.
