New Park and Ride route details and timetables revealed

The new Park and Ride will launch on September 7th of this year
In an earlier report, I mentioned that I had knowledge of the new Park and Ride service numbers but would not reveal them until Konectbus did to ensure there were no confused passengers scrambling for timetables. Today, they have been put on the new Norwich Park and Ride website; so I have great pleasure in bringing them to you.
As I'm sure you are aware, Thickthorn and Airport sites are to merged into a cross city service as is Sprowston and Harford.

501 Thickthorn-City Centre-Airport
Buses operate from 06:35 as frequent as every ten minutes throughout the day. Morning journeys and early afternoon journeys up until around half past one call at Norwich International Airport terminal before the Park and Ride site. Two late evening journeys at 19:45 and 20:15 depart from Thickthorn and two from Norwich Airport site at 19:35 and 20:05 for Thursday shopping hours. The 13:00 departure from the Airport site through to the last standard journey at 19:05 call at the Airport terminal. Journeys from the Airport site leave at ten minute intervals throughout the day.

Eighteen new buses will be delivered in time for the new services
502 Harford-City Centre-Sprowston
Buses operate from 06:40 up to every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday. The final departures are at 18:35 from Sprowston on weekdays and 18:05 on Saturdays and 18:45 from Harford on weekdays and 18:15 on Saturdays

503 Postwick-Rail Station-City Centre-County Hall
The Postwick service is completely rerouted back to how it operated with the 2005 contract renewal, minus the County Hall section. Weekday morning departures from Postwick operate in a one way loop via Yarmouth Road and Thorpe Road for the Rail Station, the City Centre and County Hall and operates back to Postwick via the A47. Daytime journeys operate as far as County Hall, and operate back to Postwick via the City Centre, Rail Station, Thorpe Road and Yarmouth Road. Peak time evening journeys run as the morning journeys do. Service begins at 06:40 and ends around 18:30 as with other sites.

510 Costessey-N&N Hospital
Contrary to what many expected, the 10 will not simply be extended to the University of East Anglia. Buses will run every 30 minutes Monday to Friday, with no service on a Saturday from Costessey Site to the N&N Hospital.

The new Park and Ride can be found on Facebook and Twitter
511 Costessey-University of East Anglia
The 511 will operate to the UEA up to every 30 minutes. Again, there is no service on a Saturday. The final journey departs Costessey at 16:10. Buses operate from the UEA back to Costessey up until 19:15. Service 511 operates during University terms times only.

512 Harford-County Hall
Replacing First 600 is the 512. Buses will depart from Harford every 30 minutes between 07:40 and 09:10, returning from County Hall every 30 minutes from 16:10 through to 17:40.

In other Park and Ride news, Konectbus Wright Pulsar Gemini bodied VDL DB250LF 502 YJ05PXC was sent away for repaint today after spending its morning on the Thickthorn Park and Ride. It will return in standard Konectbus livery.
