Your opportunity to be a part of a one-off road run event

Patrick Burnside has been in touch asking me to put out a final reminder of your opportunity to be a part of a very special one-off road run event.

On Sunday 28th June, Patrick will be taking his preserved Eastern Counties Bristol LL on a historic road run following the route of former service 15 between Norwich and Downham Market. Photography opportunities will be provided on route, with a lunch stop at the George and Dragon pub in Wereham.

LL711 will depart St Stephens Street, outside Iceland at 10:40, arriving in Downham Market at 14:30. The journey back will depart at approximately 14:45 and is hoped to return back to Norwich between 18:00 and 18:30.

Spaces are strictly limited to thirty five, so you must prebook your space by contacting Patrick on 01603 437855 or I would urge you to take part in this very special one off event!

  1. Many thanks Kieran for posting this. The reaon for this special trip is to celebrate LL 711's 65th birthday which actually falls on July 1st. LL 711 was a regular performer on the long distance route 15 for many years during the 1960s when she was out-stationed in the village of Northwold.
