Tuesday Time Tunnel: Back to the '80s

In this week's Tuesday Time Tunnel, we had back thirty four years to 1981 on Castle Meadow with this shot from contributor "Return2LayerRoad".

Seen whilst working the 504 to Costessey is LFL57, which was delivered to new to Eastern Counties in 1963. The shot to the right was taken in 1981, around two years before the last Lodekka was withdrawn from standard daily service at Eastern Counties. A small handful were retained until the mid-1980s for school and contract work.

557BNG was later preserved, and today forms part of the excellent collection at the East Anglia Transport Museum in Carlton Colville.
