Throwback Thursday: Eastern Counties selection

A typical view of Eastern Counties in 1980 (Peter Horrex)
This week's Throwback Thursday comes from Peter Horrex's simply excellent archive of photographs, mainly from the Norfolk, Suffolk and London areas. Peter's full archive can be viewed in full light on Flickr by clicking here.

Today we head thirty five years back in time to 1980 at Norwich Surrey Street bus station, which at the time also homed the buses. In this view, we can see a whole variety of poppy red buses, representing the typical NBC-era fleet. The bus station as we know it today replaced the then rather dated facility in 2005.

Do you recognise where in the photograph the buses are? To the left of the photograph is where spare bays N and P currently stand in the new bus station, with the three buses at the right of the photograph entering from Queen's Road.
