Former local bus manager awarded MBE

Ben Colson, MD at Norfolk Green from 1996-2013 has just received
an MBE.
The former managing director of Norfolk Green, Ben Colson, today has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to the economy and community in Norfolk.

Ben was managing director at Norfolk Green from 1996, at the company formation, through to the sale to Stagecoach and his retirement at the end of 2013. During his time as managing director, Mr Colson saw his company win the bus operator of the year award in 2010 and won the personal award for services to the bus industry in 2014; not to mention him chairing the Omnibus Society in 2014 and growing Norfolk Green exponentially over the seventeen years of his service.

A massive congratulations goes out to Ben Colson for his achievement, who was surprised at his retirement lunch by having Alexander Dennis Enviro400 10055 SN13EEB named after himself in commemoration.
