Surprise transfer from Ipswich to Norwich and other First news

Ipswich 66977 is now a permanent transfer to Norwich (Dan Whiting)
Regular contributor Dan Whiting photographed First Ipswich Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE 66977 KX05MHA on Castle Meadow this afternoon.

First Norwich Operations Manager, Lee Howes, informs me that it is a permanent transfer to Norwich. The front end is to be redone over the weekend ready to enter service either on Monday or Tuesday. The transfer comes as the Peak Vehicle Requirement at Ipswich is reduced by one vehicle.

In other First news, Wright Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL 36180 BD11CDZ is to be sent to Simon Morris paint shop near Ipswich on Monday. The repaint structure will then see all the Norwich based Wright Gemini 2s be repainted, with all current Blue Line buses returning with a blue front, and all current Network buses returning in standard Olympia livery.
