Oddball Wednesday - CN05SVS

The unique Cymric Predator is seen here in Cambridge (c) RichardHaughey.
This week's Oddball Wednesday is a very local vehicle, and comes from Richard Haughley's excellent archive of photograph - which Norwich Buses Blog has kindly been granted use of.

From Watton based Salec Travel is this rare beast, built by a Welsh coach builder who won the 2003 Coach Builder of the Year award. CN05SVS is the one and only Cymric Predator model, based on the Mercedes Benz O814D chassis. The mini coach was built as a prototype, but production never continued following Cymric's demise shortly after delivery.

Whilst Salec definitely still exist in Watton, with a much smaller fleet of coaches than in previous years, it is not known if CN05SVS is still in ownership, as the last time I saw it was in early 2013. Salec Travel have a small catalogue of day excursions, and operate a small fleet of mini coaches alongside their taxi operation in the Brecklands area.
