A day of bizarre workings

Purple Line branded 45118 appeared on the Turquoise Line 13 today
I wouldn't usually report a single bizarre working, unless it was something really significant - say, for example, an Excel Enviro400 on Norwich city routes - they'd usually be left until the Sunday Odds and Ends post. Today is an exception, with a whole load of rare allocations noted in a very short hour or so in the city centre.

Due to an earlier breakdown, First called upon Purple Line branded Alexander Dennis Enviro200 45118 ST08JPT to cover the work on Turquoise Line service 13, which is usually worked by four double deckers and a full size single decker.

At Konectbus, it was bizarrities all round. On the 51, usually worked by an Optare Solo, was comparably larger Optare Tempo 409 YJ57EGY; meanwhile on the 5 was Optare Solo 901 VX51RJZ, in place of the usual Optare Tempo. Rarest of all, however, was Optare Tempo 404 MX05ELH on the 8 in place of a dedicted Alexander Dennis Enviro400.

Appearing on the X29 was Stagecoach Norfolk 34639 GX54DWK. Steven Knight Media has reported that this Alexander Dennis Pointer Dart and sister 34640 are now listed as permanent members of the fleet - rather than loanees from Stagecoach South.
